Novellus were growing rapidly and the need for a comprehensive solution to their data management, configuration management and change management needs was going to have a severe impact on their agility in the market. They conducted a review of all the available systems and selected Windchill from PTC. They invested in the purchase but had no exprience implementing such a system
Novellus contracted PTC's consulting team to implement the Windchill solution so that they were able to achieve the promised ROI as soon as possible.
By using PTC's consulting team any gaps that were identified between the desired solution and the OOTB solution provide in the Windchill software could be addressed in minimum time.
I was the Project Manager on this implementation and managed a team of 12 implementation consultants as well as managing the scope and budgets for the project. During this engagement many gaps were identified as the customer became educated in the capabilities of Windchill. I was able to generate additional consulting business in the account to the order of $1.5M during the 8 months of the engagement.
